Elmhurst, Illinois Modern Home Design

This home is set in suburban Chicago. Our clients—modern and full of life—loved their community but were not able to find a home that reflected their relaxed lifestyle, love of art and affinity for California modern architecture. We worked closely with the client to design a radical transformation of a typical closed and predictable suburban house into a comfortable and modern retreat.

Our goal was to create a soft, inviting and natural home. We believe the integration of architecture, landscape and interior design was key to accomplishing this and is fundamental to our design philosophy.

Light oak floors, rich walnut, subtle honed limestone, soft neutral furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a large multi-slide doorway create seamless inside and outside living. We embarked on a fun design adventure and arrived at a place that has shorts and barefoot vibes!
